This seagull was not gliding upon the currents of a cool ocean breeze to decorate the morning sky behind a postcard-perfect lighthouse. No. This winged-rat was one of many filthy little buggers that were swarming and dive bombing my kids and me as we shared a bag of Doritos chips on a warm, muggy, Florida day. I’m telling you those birds would sell their own mother into slavery if it meant getting a morsel of Doritos. I took lots of shots to finally get one with just a single bird in it. All the other shots looked like a brutal aerial feeding frenzy. Isn’t it amazing how different the reality of an image can be from our first impressions?
