I don’t ride motorcycles but I certainly can appreciate them. I came across this interesting 2007 Custom Yamaha V-Star Classic in Houston, Texas. It was owned by a guy named Chad who was kind enough to give me a few minutes to take some photos. This was my favorite out of the set. It was dark outside which made the green glow of the LED lighting effects stand out even more. No one could ever claim they didn’t see him coming!
Sony NEX-7 with LA-EA2 lens adapter and a Minolta 50mm f/1.7. ISO was locked at 800. I was very pleased with the clarity at this ISO. I had the camera set to speed priority so I could catch the full 10 frames per second. In such low light, even with the 50mm f/1.7 (stopped down to f2.2) I was concerned with any movement resulting in a blurry shot; safety in numbers and memory cards are cheap.
