A few days ago, my family and I went to Cade’s Cove within the Tennessee side of the Smoky Mountains National Park. Let me start out by saying, if you’ve never been here you must put this on your bucket list. I’ve travelled all over the world and I still find this place to be among the most beautiful, natural, and peaceful places on earth. I’ve been coming to this area of the Smokies since I was a kid and it’s really great to be able to take my own kids here now. Enough of the chatter. On with the photos!

Within Cade’s Cove are a number of historic buildings. Among them are two old churches. These next three shots come from inside one of those.
This shot was taken just outside of Cade’s Cove at one of the picnic areas along side a stream. One of my daughters was playing with the rocks in the water and I caught her attention just long enough to grab this. What an excellent day!
Well I don’t have a lot of time to write much so I’m going to leave it at just the photos. I’m off to another job tomorrow and want to spend the evening with my Honey. If you haven’t already been, I hope these photos entice you to visit the Smokies someday.
All photos shot with a Nikon D600 and either a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AF-S G or Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 AF-S G ED VR.
