Tonight, I was playing around with an image from the other evening of a satellite dish radome. The more I played around with the photo, the more it felt like an otherworldly scene from a science-fiction movie. I must say, it does feel like a different planet up here. I decided to post the photo as just a bit of fun. The image was shot in Deadhorse, an oilfield base in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

This was the only other shot I got while I was out. Just some neat looking boats covered in snow and ice. In the very short summer they have up here, they use these boats for surveys, maintenance, etc. There are lots of streams, ponds and rivers on the tundra that feed melt-ice into the sea.
