Today’s post will be really brief. I’m in the middle of a move down to Florida.
I’ve had these files for awhile and I wanted to share them before they got pushed too far back into my hard drive that I forget about them.
The following images came from a family trip to a bird park on the eastern side of North Carolina. I had recently purchased an old Nikon Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 AIS telephoto lens and I was curious to try it out on the crop-sensor Sony NEX-5T that my Dad gave me. The 1.5X crop factor gives this 180mm lens an equivalent focal length of 270mm. I’ll let the results speak for itself. In summary, this is a fantastic lens and a killer combination for this kind of shooting. It’s lightweight, easy to use and the crop factor makes for a very fast telephoto rig.
